Food has the power to nourish, nurture, protect, heal, regenerate, transform, excite, engage, delight, and inspire!
Over the past few years, I’ve been collecting and creating heaps of delicious recipes that work for my family’s specific health requirements. I specialize in simple recipes that can be enjoyed by the whole family. While I am a big believer that there is really no such thing as “kid food,” I am aware that certain modifications are necessary to accommodate for young kids’ and babies’ specific palates, developmental, and digestive-readiness requirements. Those modifications are noted on the recipes where appropriate.
I am sharing both my own creations and those by others (with links back to the originals) that I love. ALL of the recipes here are gluten free, and therefore wheat free. I am of the opinion that no one needs help finding more wheat-based recipes (they’re everywhere). All of us can benefit from diversifying our diet. Most of my recipes are naturally gluten free, meaning no specialty or obscure ingredients are needed to replace the wheat/gluten. This makes it easier for you!
I also include many grain free, dairy free, paleo, and/or allergy friendly (referring to the top 8 allergens) recipes. But you don’t need to be on a special diet to enjoy this food – it’s for everyone! For those of you without any allergy or food sensitivities, that’s awesome! These recipes may serve as an opportunity to try a new dish or ingredient, and provide you with the ability to more easily cater for family, friends, or coworkers that do have dietary limitations. And isn’t it more fun when we can all participate?
I hope you find some recipes here that motivate you to get cooking or inspire you to create your own amazingly simple dishes. Nothing tastes better than a home cooked meal. And remember, there are no mistakes in the kitchen. It’s all about trial and error, and learning (and tasting) along the way. You can do this!
